Frequently asked questions.
Common questions about Unrisq, plainly answered. Can't find what you're after? Get in touch.
Product
What does Unrisq do?
It reads, structures and compares Australian insurance PDSs, and answers questions about them in plain English with citations back to the source clause. Designed for AFSL-licensed brokers, underwriters and risk managers.
What types of PDSs can it analyse?
Any Australian commercial or personal-lines PDS in PDF (text or scanned), Word, or pasted text. Multi-hundred-page documents and complex schedules are handled natively.
How long does an analysis take?
A 90-page PDS is typically extracted and indexed in under two minutes. Comparisons across three policies add roughly another minute.
Can I compare multiple PDSs at once?
Yes. Coverage Comparison aligns equivalent coverage categories across two or more policies even when their wording structures differ.
Does it work for personal lines or commercial only?
Both. The extraction is wording-agnostic. Anything with definitions, exclusions, conditions and a schedule can be analysed.
Can I export the output?
PDF, CSV and direct paste-to-SOA formats are supported. Every export embeds the source document hash for chain-of-custody traceability.
The AI
Does the AI replace a broker?
No. The AI handles the reading and structuring work; the licensed broker holds the judgement and the licence. The product is explicitly designed around human-in-the-loop review.
Can the AI give personal advice?
It can't, and it's designed not to try. Personal advice is regulated work performed by the licensed broker. The AI surfaces the analysis; the broker makes the recommendation.
What happens if the AI is wrong?
Every answer cites the clause it relies on. If the citation doesn't support the answer, you've caught the error before it leaves the workbench. We continuously evaluate output quality against expert-reviewed benchmarks.
Why is every answer cited?
Because Best Interests Duty has an evidence problem and citation is how you solve it. Without citations, AI in financial advice is unauditable.
What model does it use?
Claude, by Anthropic, accessed under an enterprise agreement that excludes our inputs from model training. The architecture matters more than the model. Retrieval and citation handling happen outside the model.
Compliance
Is this AFSL-compliant to use?
Unrisq is an information and analysis tool, not a financial product. Licensed brokers use it as part of their licensed practice. Principals retain accountability for how reps use it, consistent with ASIC Information Sheet 271.
Will the audit trail satisfy ASIC?
The audit trail captures every query, every output, every citation and every export, with timestamps, user attribution and source document hashes. It's designed to evidence the analysis underlying personal advice under s961B and RG 175.
Can I show this to my compliance officer?
Yes, that's the intent. The Security Overview and AI pages are written for compliance review. If your CO wants a deeper walk-through, get in touch.
Do you store client data?
Only the documents and chat history that you create. We don't ingest client lists from other systems, and you can delete a document and its analyses at any time.
Security
Where is my data stored?
Sydney, Australia. End to end. Documents at rest, derived analyses, audit logs, all within Australian data centres.
Are you SOC 2 certified?
Type I attestation is in progress, scheduled to complete before the October 2026 launch. Type II is planned to follow the standard 6 to 12 month observation window.
Is my data used to train the AI?
No. Documents and queries are not used to train any model, ours or Anthropic's. This is contractual.
What about client confidentiality?
Client documents are encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is role-controlled. Audit logs record every document view. Confidentiality is the default, not a setting.
Pricing and onboarding
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Every account gets $1 of free usage every month, no credit card required.
What's included in Premium?
Ten analyses per month, one hundred iAssist chats, full audit trail exports, and the comparison toolkit. Premium is $89 AUD per month or $890 annually.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the end of the current period. Annual plans include a 30-day money-back window.
Do you offer team seats?
Team and firm-level seats with role-based access are on the post-MVP roadmap. Get in touch if you need this sooner.
